Roe Deer and Red Fox

Great to see the Brown Hare on site and looking really healthy. Very hard to get near for a picture but i am very happy that we can see this lovely Brown Hare in its natural habitat.

Well after a very busy 3 months on the site and down at the hide, its all gone very quiet around the site. All the different species of bird have had their young and are learning howto survive. Goldfinch on Thistle

Red Fox

Tree Sparrow

The Tree Sparrow is on the decline but hear at Goodenbergh it thrives, all because of the nest boxes we put up for them. I am sure with the right habitat and many nest boxes the reason for the success of this great overlooked little bird.

Goldfinch

The Goldfinch is on the increase and there food source on the site must be the reason. They feed on Niger but if there is no Niger about the Adults can find lots of Thistle bushes growing in the fields in the surrounding fields. 

Robin

The Robin has successfully raised  young this year, i have only seen one but i am sure there are a few more, they appear quickly just to take food from tree stump then retreat to a shrub. 

Yong Greenfinch

Great news the Greenfinch has 2 young so far and there visiting the Niger feeders daily, this is the 2 year that they have had young.

Barn Owl Nest Box

Sliver Birch Feeder.

2 Nights ago i went to fill the feeder up with sunflower hearts when i small juvenile Blue Tit flew out. I thought nothing of it until last night when i went to fill again it flew out. Tonight i looked out of the bedroom window to see the Blue Tit fast asleep it it.

Great news the Tree Sparrow is doing well with at least 8 young seen outside the Van this morning. They were on the decline so i will be contacting the BTO to give them the results of this years breeding numbers.
