Female Roe deer grazing at the Meadow near the hide. I was approaching and got spotted but managed to get this nice face shot. There are 2 young ones in the area so i will try and get a photo of them.
Big flocks of Redwing feeding on berries up near the stables, very alert bird and so hard to get close for a photo.
2 Tawny Owls sitting together this morning then one retreated to the safety of the nest box.

New Nest Box Project at the Hide With the sighting of Redstart this year near the hide i have decided to make some next boxes for the Redstart and and Flycatcher.
There have been recent sightings of 2 young Roe deer in the meadow near to the Hide. Great news as the Fawn died last year. If you sit in the Hide they graze to the left of the Hide and the best time would be Dawn or Dusk.

As i was warming up for my run this morning i heard the Male and Female Tawny Owl calling, just to let site members know that this years young are abandoned from August and from then there on there own. From Oct to early Nov they look for a nest site and make their own… Read more »
With the trees falling down and the removal of trees around the site, i have been using the wood for different types of carving ideas. All what i make goes towards funding the Hide with Food and Feeders.
Went down to the hide to fill feeders and was pleased to see lots of birds visiting the feeders, and a little Vole.
Nice light today and as i sat Carving something caught my eye, a Treecreeper going up and down a Silver Birch, they wont keep still but got one shot. Then shortly after a Goldcrest started moving in the Pine Tree and this little bird never stays still.
