This is my 3rd attempt at a reflection pool for the birds, but again i am not 100% happy with it. I will see how it goes and maybe try another one using Bricks and mortar.

Had my eye on this great trunk for a couple of years. Managed to move it 100 yards to the hide to make a brilliant bird table.
Apple tree and Pear tree now in place at the Hide. Good harvest and the Fieldfare and Redwing will love the fruit.
My back is in bits but well worth it, A telegraph pole a Chain Saw. Then transport it to the Hide then man handle them into place. Fill with soil from stream area and top with compost, still need topping up. Also a nice pile of rocks for critters to mess in. The Extension on… Read more »
Great day working at the hide followed by an hour photography. The Female Reed Bunting made the first visit.
The next stage at the Hide is encourage Butterflies and Bees and any other insects that attracted to certain Shrubs and trees. I am also going to plant a Pear and Apple tree this will give the Blackbirds Fieldfare and Redwing a source of food. So the plan is to ask anyone from the site… Read more »
On my way down to the Hide i came across 2 Goldcrest chasing each other so lens cap off and tried to follow them as they flew from branch to branch. Being the smallest bird in Britain and not known for coming to feeders there very hard to photograph never really stopping for the camera… Read more »
Well nearly a week gone and the family are doing ok, but have lost 2 young ducklings. Lets keep our fingers crossed that she rears all the other 11.

I set up the Wildlife Trail Camera days ago to see what was in the area of the Hide, i found a small path that has been made down by the Beck so i set it up there on the off chance that i would capture something. Very happy with what i got
Great news the first Reed Bunting on site. Midday to day the Male Reed Bunting was sighted outside 30 Birch Wood. This is the first one that i have seen, but no female around.
Great to see the Hedgehog at 30 Birch Wood today eating the seed the birds have dropped.
