Just contacted Leighton Moss RSPB and asked about Mallard
family, this is normal for mum to leave the young. I didn’t know this so i have learned something new today. There getting bigger and feeding a lot so a few days and there will be to big for the Heron but not sure about the Crow and Rook. Then again it could be the Cat that was seen yesterday with a baby Rabbit.
