Great to see the Brown Hare on site and looking really healthy. Very hard to get near for a picture but i am very happy that we can see this lovely Brown Hare in its natural habitat.

One morning when the weather was kind to me i decided to walk round the site with my camera to see what i could capture this is what i found in 2 hours.
The Tree Sparrow is on the decline but hear at Goodenbergh it thrives, all because of the nest boxes we put up for them. I am sure with the right habitat and many nest boxes the reason for the success of this great overlooked little bird.
The Goldfinch is on the increase and there food source on the site must be the reason. They feed on Niger but if there is no Niger about the Adults can find lots of Thistle bushes growing in the fields in the surrounding fields.
The Robin has successfully raised young this year, i have only seen one but i am sure there are a few more, they appear quickly just to take food from tree stump then retreat to a shrub.
Great news the Greenfinch has 2 young so far and there visiting the Niger feeders daily, this is the 2 year that they have had young.
There are still no Barn Owl’s in the site area and close proximity, so its time to make a few boxes for the Barn Owl to use. I have sighted 2 Kestrel boxes and 4 Tawny Owl boxes on site. The Barn Owl box is a bit more difficult to site. The Tree needs to… Read more »
2 Nights ago i went to fill the feeder up with sunflower hearts when i small juvenile Blue Tit flew out. I thought nothing of it until last night when i went to fill again it flew out. Tonight i looked out of the bedroom window to see the Blue Tit fast asleep it it.
Great news the Tree Sparrow is doing well with at least 8 young seen outside the Van this morning. They were on the decline so i will be contacting the BTO to give them the results of this years breeding numbers.
