May is Here

Portraits of a few Birds

Testing new Camera out at the Hide.
After 3 years with the Canon Camera i decided to have a change and give Nikon a try. I went for the Nikon D500 with the Nikon 200-500mm Lens. I am over the moon with results considering i have only had it a week. Please enjoy the level of photography from this combination.
Donkey Having its Back done
As i was coming back from the Hide i passed the field where the Donkey and Sheltland Pony are and noticed the Donkey lying down and 2 Jackdaws were pecking at the fur and collecting it for their nests. I have never seen this before and hope the Donkey enjoyed its back being scratched.

Full of a cold but thought I may have a change and go down by the river. Saw 2 Kingfishers then spotted a Dipper fishing lower down. After 30 minutes observation and Knowledge of the Dipper I knew they were using the same spot for a reason so I crept through the undergrowth and found… Read more »
