Well the Olympus set up is performing brilliantly and when the weather gets a bit better i know i will get some of my best ever images and i just want the new season to start. I went yesterday and today when i go t break in the weather. The Teal and Widgeon are a great bird to photograph but to get hem in flight its a challenge . They arrive in the late winter in the Estuary near Fleetwood and feed on the mud flats. After observation over 3 years i know that if i get to the area before low tide i can get them swimming in to the muddy areas. Its a bit tricky as the Teal will fly off when i get anywhere close so i have to wait on a grassy bank about 100 feet away and wait till they get in the right area. They take off in the same direction every time so its a case of getting ready and watching their body language. I hope to bring you more in the future when we get some nice Cold Sunny days.
