As i came back from a long walk to check all the nest boxes on the site i made my way back along a small narrow track that was covered with dry leaves. The Bluebells covered the edges of the wood land floor. The Sun made a brief appearance when i came face to face with the Tawny Owl sitting 6 feet off the ground facing me full on. She seemed really calm as i watched her. With the same clothes on and not doing any sudden movements i approached her and stood about 10 feet away, i slowly raised the camera up and being on silent mode took 15 pictures at different distances.
I am positive she is getting used to me, but on the other hand i am worried that she could be poorly as she would have flown off. Going back in the morning to check on her.
