My mate Frank who is a joiner got hold of some Plywood so last week i made the 3rd Tawny Owl box and with Franks help erected it in the woods, i now have 1 box in each of the woods to help as a place to Roost or nest next year. Sighting the box is not easy as you a few factors to considor. The Box has to face the right direction, the tree is not always straight, the height and the fixings can also be tricky. But i found a good tree for it to go in and with any look we could have a Tawny Owl visiting soon.
