Tawny Owl Photography.
I am now in my 4th year with the Tawny Owl project. My first Box went up 3 years ago. Before buying the Van at Goodenbergh i had onlt seen one Tawny Owl in the daylight hours. Through lots of hours of dedication and patience i can now go and see the Tawny most days and if i am lucky i can watch it in its natural habitat, and sometimes get a decent photograph. Most photographs are in tops of trees or half way down tree trunks but always against a very br…ight background.
So tonight i said i would try and show Ruth the Tawny Owl. i had been out walking and said i would meet her at a said location. As i walked to meet her i took a short cut through one of the 3 woods that are part of Goodenbergh site. I turned down a path and sat 50 feet away 3 foot off the ground on a old tree stump the Tawny was sat facing me. Its hard enough to get a picture of a Tawny Owl, in a tree is even better, but sat in lovely late night sun facing you is a Dream. Hope you enjoy as I Did just a little. She then flew a short distance so i could get another photo. Ruth loved it.
