Common Blue Damselfly

This is a very quiet time for birds and animals as the young are born and the parents are resting to get back into full health, the young are very active and learning from the parents all the skills they will need to get through the first year. As i went round the pond i noticed the Common Blue Damselfly flying round landing.

I had my 100-400 lens with me and luckily it has a 3 metre setting on the lens for close up work. Sitting down and watching the Damselfly behaviour i got into position and took a couple of shots. They are quick to move if you make sudden movements and they fly off, so i waited for them to come and land on a blade of grass. I found it very hard to get all 100% of the Damselfly in focus but i managed to get a couple that i am happy with.B72A4833
