Goodenbergh Country Holiday Home Park is set amidst woodland and open fields. It is located on the edge of the Yorkshire Dales National Park and the Trough of Bowland. Morecambe, Blackpool and Grange over Sands are all within easy reach.
Goodenbergh Caravan Holiday Park is ideally located for experiencing the countryside and exploring the local nature trails.
The market town of High Bentham is about 4 miles away which is situated in North Yorkshire, the nearest market towns are Settle and Skipton, both of which are worthy of a visit, especially if you enjoy historic monuments, museums and castles.
There are many pretty villages in the area such as Dent with its cobble streets and Kirby Lonsdale with its lovely market square and annual victorian fayre.
In High Bentham, you will find a Spar and a Co-Op, which are both open until late. There are four public houses, a Chinese and an Indian take away, there is also a fish and chip shop and a chemist. High Bentham offers many traditional shops to cater for everything else you may need.
Also close by is a fantastic 18 hole golf course, set in wonderful countryside with breath taking views. Visit www.benthamgolfclub.co.uk.
The park comprises of:
- Privately owned holiday homes positioned amongst beautiful silver birched woodland or circulating a large expanse of parkland, this is ideal and safe for children to explore and is used for recreational purposes (football, cricket etc).
- We have a beautiful woodland walk with signs around the way telling you what to look out for i.e.: plant life, birds, pond life etc and there are quiz leaflets available in the office.
Pets which are well behaved are very welcome, but should always be kept under control. There are bins provided around the park for you to use i.e. poop scoop, bags are available at reception. There is always a lot of different livestock grazing in many of the fields surrounding the park, and Dogs should be kept on a lead at all times unless the field is empty when they may run free.
We operate a barrier system on the park to give our clients peace of mind.
One of our great passions is conservation and we have been lucky enough to have won the Gold Award for the past fourteen years, and are constantly striving to improve our surroundings.
We are also a member of the BH&HPA .
Goodenbergh Farm & Alpacas:
Down in the farm you will find horses, pigs, goats, donkeys along with a herd of 20 Alpacas
Alpacas are a smaller version of the llama these animals originate from Peru and the high Andes, we keep them for their fibre (fleece) which is shorn once a year and made into various garments i.e.: gloves, hats, scarves and the most beautiful throws.
The fleece is very warm with 22 different natural colours and is second only to silk in strength. Items are often available to buy in the office.
